When she was 17, her parents sent her to live with an aunt in Georgia. She returned to Phoenix after two months, but never finished high school. She got into the adult industry as soon as she turned 18, in May 2001. Although only filmed with black hair, she is actually a redhead. Thomas retired from industry in late 2005 and returned in May of 2007 before retiring for good in 2012.
